Georgia Deguara

Georgia begun her circus career at Sandfly Circus early 2008, becoming an assistant and trainer from 2009 onwards.

She took part in events such as corporate gigs for the Shire of Broome, North West Expo, Festival's such as Shinju and The Festival of Light, as well as a number of large Sandfly shows including Cirque de Chickito, 3,2,1 Fun, and Flippin Fish.Georgia was also actively involved in several Worn Art productions.

Georgia was and still occasionally is employed as a trainer to teach all ages of circus nuts a range of skills, specialising in aerials, hula hoops, contortion, adagio and table sliding.

Georgia directed the 2012 performance "Out of the Box" which showcased the Sandfly's skills to the audience of Karridale Circus Festival. She also often toured the Kimberley region with a small group of trainers on the Outreach program, teaching schools of children and teenagers the skills of circus allowing them the opportunity to perform to their community at the end of the trip.

Between 2012-2013, Georgia has been taking classes and training with the West Australian Circus School, and has been performing as part of their youth group, Sliderz Circus. This opportunity has allowed her to perform in several Perth and Fremantle festivals and showcases and work with an array of directors to produce successful shows.

In 2014, Georgia is headed off to Melbourne to complete the Certificate III in Circus Arts at NICA.
