Lorrae Coffin

Composer Musician

Born in the Pilbara, and raised in the west Kimberly region of WA, I come from the rich Aboriginal heritage of the Nyiyaparli/Yindjibarndi language groups.
I have worked within the Music Industry for over 20years as a Musician, (currently fronting her own band), singer/songwriter and session musician, as well as being involved with the implementation and delivery of music programs and policies, in remote, urban and regional communities, across Australia.
I am an accomplished multi-instrumentalist in guitars (acoustic/electric, drumkit, (piano/keys - mainly for composing), vocals and major in electric bass guitar. I also have experience in Live Sound Engineering & Music Production, including front of house and stage sound instalation and backline set up.
I am a co-founder of the Internationally acclaimed, Marrugeku Company as a musician and co-composer and Music Coordinator of the company’s works since 1996. My role within the company involves workshopping/writing the music for current productions and recording, culminating in a live performance production.
