Open Garden Day
Sat 31st May, 10am - 3pm
The Award winning Habitat Resort will open it's doors for the public to to come and enjoy one of the most stunning resort gardens in Broome and the Kimberley. There will be guided tours conducted regularly throughout the day.
The gardens - cared for by the inestimable Chris Hill - have been carefully designed and developed over the last 12 years to achieve an amazing balance between the native flora and and exotic plants that has a wonderful explosion of colour and smells. The wet seasons over the last two years have allowed the gardens to flourish into a full splendour that continues to amaze both new and repeat visitors.

Controlled Falling Project 2014

Enter a laboratory of acrobatic impossibilities, where old science meets new circus in a heart-stopping, high-energy creative experiment.
Taking a contemporary approach to traditional and popular circus
disciplines from across Asia, America and Europe, the concept of
Controlled Falling is explored through Teeter Board, Russian Bar,
Roue-Cyr, Human Pyramids, Synchronised Hand Balancing and other
acrobatic feats that demonstrate the incredible skill and audacity of
Controlled Falling are offering free workshops for Act-Belong-Commit Sandfly Circus participants. Woo hoo!!

Theatre Kimberley are looking for a volunteer to run the bar for the 2014 Bust Out on the 25th and 26th of July. This volunteer should have their Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.

Calling performing artists EOI
We are seeking people over the age of 18 who are fit, flexible, musical with a good singing voice, and available for short term, full-time work. The job may require you to perform a number of roles such as: puppeteer, singer, dancer.
We require at least one male performer. We will require up to six performers in total.
Name of project: Staircase to the Moon, a musical puppet play, for children. Based on the book of the same name by the multi-talented Bronwyn Houston. The music is by the amazing Lorrae Coffin.
Location: Broome (unless most of the performers are located in the metro area then we could relocate to save costs.)
Dates: 16th June – 19 July (rehearsal and tour dates included).
Pay rate: variable according to experience.
NB Performers must be 18 or over and committed.
N.B. Appointment of performers will be subject to funding.
